Inji Efflatoun (1924-1989) et le mouvement Art Liberty Group en Egypte

J’effectue en ce moment une recherche sur l’artiste égyptienne Inji Efflatoun. Je me permets de vous contacter afin de savoir si vous auriez a disposition dans votre bibliothèque des ouvrages qui lui sont dédiés ou bien toutes publications concernant le mouvement artistique égyptien « Art and Liberty Group ».

Inji Efflatoun est une artiste égyptienne, féministe et militante politique, liée au mouvement surréaliste égyptien à travers le « Art and Liberty Group ».

Vous trouverez une présentation (en anglais) de cette artiste et de son oeuvre dans le Mathaf Encyclopedia of Modern art and the Arab world
ainsi qu’une présentation du mouvement Art and liberty Group dans l‘article de Don LaCoss « Art and Liberty : Surrealism in Egypt »(en anglais, téléchargeable au format PDF).
« The greatest and most lasting impact of the Egyptian surrealists’ projects was the creation of the “Art and Liberty Group” (in Arabic the initials are “JFH”), which had been set up as a chapter of the International Federation of Independent Revolutionary Art (acronymed “FIARI” in French), a global network of intellectual and creative workers pledged to “emancipating the imagination from any and all constraints” by any means necessary ».
